Another comforting casserole recipe

This easy-to-prepare potato and leeks casserole makes for a great winter dish.


  • 3-4 leeks
  • 6-8 potatoes, peeled and sliced thing
  • ½ cup grated sharp cheese
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • Salt and pepper


  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  • Grease a baking dish
  • Cut green tops from the leek stalks and discard
  • Roughly chop bottom of leeks
  • Place a layer of potatoes in the bottom of greased baking dish
  • Place layer of leeks, salt and pepper on top of potatoes
  • Repeat layering until out of ingredients and end with a layer of potatoes
  • Top with enough cheese to cover the potatoes
  • Pour over heavy cream
  • Bake at 350 for one hour
