VERTICAL SCREEN, INC. EMBARKS ON BUCKS COUNTY’S FIRST LEED PLATINUM CERTIFIED BUILDING PROJECT
In building a new corporate headquarters, Vertical Screen, Inc., is setting a new standard. The applicant screening company's new headquarters building is designed to achieve LEED Platinum certification, the highest achievable level in the U.S. Green Building Council’s (USGBC) sustainability rating system. It is the first construction project in Bucks County, and one of the few in the Commonwealth of Pensylvania, designed to achieve LEED Platinum status.
The Vertical Screen project redevelops a former Brownfield site once occupied by the Naval Air Warfare Center (NAWC) in a sustainable way, meaning it is constructed in a way that minimizes disruption to the natural environment. The building will contain a number of advanced green technologies, including a geothermal HVAC system and rainwater harvesting. The company envisions that its new green building will help make Vertical Screen an employer of choice and demonstrate to the community and to clients its commitment to cutting-edge technologies. The building will also act as an educational resource to demonstrate what green buildings can do and to encourage others to build green. |
